Welcome To Subterranean Records
As some of you may know, after 17+ years of doing business in New York City we were forced to close our retail shop on February 1st, 2008. Due to insane increases in rents in our area we decided not to re-open but rather sell the remaining stock from our shop here on eBay's pages. There will be some exceptionally rare items from both our shop and my own personal collection.
Item: Relisting this item because rivernet77 did not honor their bid, so here it is again. Beautiful near mint original UK vinyl LP of New Zealand born Chris Thompson self titled LP. This is on the Village Thing label, distributed by Transatlantic Records. The vinyl and labels are near mint with the vinyl having the thinnest needle mark or it may just be a paper insert mark when placing the LP back into it's sleeve on side 1, this of course is inaudible. I mention it only for those looking for that, just out of the pressing plant look. The labels have no spindle marks whatsoever. The laminated cover is stunning with no ring wear, no seam splitting or spine wear. Just a beautiful copy of this LP all the way around. One original owner who took great care of this LP.

About Chris Thompson: Shimmering, hypnotic, flowing, psych-tinged, original acoustic folk guitar and vocal. Backed by various friends including Magic Carpet members Jesgav Sathe and Clem Alford (providing an Eastern influence), and on one cutwith Ed Deane, guitarist from The Woods Band. Hailing from New Zealand, Chris Thompson arrived on the folk guitar scene in the United Kingdom in 1971 and hung out and gigged with Wizz Jones, Davy Graham, Bert Jansch, John Martyn, Derroll Adams and others. A window into the time gone by, evoking both a spatial and temporal quality that contemporary music oft seeks to emulate or revive, but will not come our way again.

Shipping: All US buyers will be provided with a tracking number. Insurance is optional, though we do recommend it as we take no responsibility for lost or damaged items. International buyers may be required to add $11.00 for registering any LP over $100 depending on your eBay status.
