Description

TITLE/ARTIST: This rare 45/PS combination by the legendary 1950's-'60's R'n'R singer/songwriter, Chuck Berry, from back in 1964, is on the original Chess Label, and both record and sleeve are in very good to excellent overall condition - especially the vinyl - but please read on (see the pics above). The 45 is entitled "Promised Land/Things I Used To Do" and is the 3rd of three (3) Chuck Berry 45's/PS's I am listing today, so please check 'em all out. I do have other 45's, EP's and LP's by many other 50's-60's artists, so please continue to check out my site as well - thank you! LABEL INFO: This original, Chess Label (1916) is very clean and nice - in fact, I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me very little, if any, actual play. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also extremely shiny, clean and nice with absolutely nothing really in need of a mention - in fact, to me the vinyl looks about as nice as the day it was 1st purchased. PICTURE SLEEVE: Finally, this somewhat hard to find picture sleeve - although it seems Chess Records ran the same sleeve on all of his releases - is in good overall condition, but not perfect by any means. There are a few light wrinkle/crease lines along the very top, open edged side and in other small spots, a small 1/4" tear in the very middle of the sleeve, and some very early signs of light ring wear in just a few other places but nothing too serious. Most all of this is visible in the pics above, so please check it out! Other than these issues though, it looks just fine! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this rare 45/PS combo is  very clean and nice - not to mention how difficult these 50's-60's 45's, with their picture sleeves, are becoming to find anymore, so please have at it. As always, I have not listed it with any reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!  If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $4.00 (1st Class Mail and Delivery Confirmation) for the first 45 purchased, and then just $.50 per 45 after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $15.00 for the 1st 45 and then just $3.00 per 45 after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records  that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
