Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on: TITLE & ARTIST: "Rockin' at the Hops" - by Chuck Berry on the Chess Records label (LP 1448), in beautiful original Mono sound, issued in 1960. CONDITION: JACKET - VG++(The glossy front cover is unmarked but has light rub wear and a ding in the lower lefthand corner; back cover is unmarked with light overall soil wear and a corner ding at the lower opening - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - VG+(I grade this VG+ because it has quite a few light scuff marks; however, I am playing it now and it plays to at least a VG++ grade, with very little extraneous noise - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight; aurally graded on my Rega P3 turntable). SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare Chess monaural pressing of the vintage Chuck Berry early classic, with the original beautiful glossy cover of Chuck's profile. The sound is clear and just as dynamic as the first day it came out in the early '60s! The spectacular condition of this vinyl makes this a Chuck Berry treasure for all time, and the shiny cover is simply unbelievable. And if you like "Too Much Monkey Business" just wait until you hear the virtually unknown "Broken Arrow" on this album. Don't miss it. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
