CIRCUS ALL STAR BAND Live (Zytglogge Zyt 217) Polo Hofer RARE Swiss 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE Swiss first pressing of Circus All Star Band`s album "Live" on Zytglogge Records (1978).
"Recorded "live" at The Volkshaus Zürich and the Hotel National in Berne on January 26th and 27th 1978 with the "Maison Rouge" Mobile Studio London. (...) These concerts have been a first step to improve the communication between Swiss pop-, rock- and folkgroups." - LP liner notes.
Apart from the regular members of Circus, this live album includes founding member Stephan Ammann on keyboards, as well as notable guests from Swiss bands Rumpelstilz, Phallus, Meridies, Im Bode Band, Skibbereen and Soul Set, and Alan Solomon from UK progrockers Warm Dust on saxophone.
GRADING:
EX++ COVER with minor storage wear. Please see photos for details.
- Original fully laminated first-pressing gatefold sleeve.
- Small superficial tear on front sleeve (at top right).
- Some scuffing and a few tiny creases to the spine.
- Also includes original inner sleeve in EX+ condition with a paste-on original review of the album.
MINT- RECORD that looks practically unplayed.
- Pristine vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No visible wear to the record at all.
- Original charcoal Zytglogge Records labels with 'ML' stamper, as found on first pressings only!
- A few lightest spindle lines on each label.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ZYT - 217 A / R.SO." and "ZYT - 217 B / R.SO.".
- This record is hereby certified to be a very first Swiss pressing of "Circus All Star Band Live", released in 1978.
