Progressive delight!!!
Without a shadow of a doubt one of the very hardest prog albums ever to find!!! Issued on the independent RCB label reportedly only around 1000 copies were ever pressed. One of the very first independent prog issues to become a major collectible!!! How many ended up on the scrapheap is anyone's guess. The facts are that this did not sell at all at the time. An estimate by a reputed collector indicates that no more than 200 are left on the planet!!! This hardly ever comes up for auction and this is a prime investment object, up there with Comus, Spring, Raw Material etc. It's hard to understand why this did not sell as the songcraft is simply phenomenal!!
The audio is breathtakingly sublime!!!! This album in this fantastic condition rarely ever comes up for sale and in my opinion it will be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to better this. Most of these are now safely tucked away in major collections around the world, this is a very rare opportunity to acquire this glorious album.
NM vinyl!! Just one wispiest light hairline on side one final track. This does NOT sound at all. This beautiful glossy slab of vinyl is pure quality!!!!! The vinyl looks pristine and I played it all the way through, it sounds MAGNIFICENT with stunning CLARITY !!!! This is just awesome!!! NO jumps, NO pops and NO skips. NO background crackle!!!! This album is playgraded on a Linn Sondek/ Rotel/ B&W set-up. The audio is simply MINDBLOWING!!!! It would be a very tough task to still upgrade from this copy. It has to be the very best one available!!!!
The gatefold sleeve is in nice condition without major damage. The onset of some ringwear near the top as seen in the picture. Sticker glue deposit to the top right which I will not attempt to remove. The spine is fully legible. Minor rubbing on the edges only. A well kept sleeve, not trashed at all!! The inside gatefold is NM. NO writing, NO marks, NO tape. VG++
In my opinion it will be impossible to find a better copy than this!!!!
