ANOTHER RARE 78rpm BLUES RECORD, AND THIS COLLECTABLE WAS RECORDED BY CLARA SMITH and Her Five Black Kittens IN 1927 ON THE U.S. COLUMBIA LABEL # 14240 SONGS ARE: BLACK CAT MOAN & STRUGGLIN WOMAN'S BLUES. THIS ONE SHOWS PLENTY OF GLOSS AND SHINE AND IT PLAYS WITH GOOD SOUND FOR A VINTAGE 78 OF THIS AGE. THERE IS SOME BACKGROUND NOISE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A 78 THAT IS NOW 86 YEARS OLD. THIS ONE GRADES AS A VG TO A VG+ AT LEAST. These Collectable 78's are getting very hard to find anymore, and the good ones are quickly becoming scarce. This 78 is from the large collection of Rock & Roll and R&B & Jazz 78's that I have in my personal collection, and it would pay to mark this site as one of your favorites as there will be plenty more to come.
