Description
Up for auction is a super clean copy of the self-titled S/T album "Clark Terry" released on EmArcy Records (MG-36007) in 1955. This is an original, mono, deep groove pressing. Back cover printed in blue ink, signifying this is a first issue. Fantastic lineup includes Horace Silver, Oscar Pettiford, Art Blakely, Cecil Payne, and Jimmy Cleveland. Great record. Cover is in beautiful shape. Lamination has no blemishes or tears, retains its high gloss finish. Corners are sharp, no bumps. Borders are strong, white, no seam splits. Back cover looks great, sharp blue ink, with only a hint of any age discoloration which is no common with these early EmArcy jackets. I'd grade this cover Near Mint (NM). One of the nicest examples I've come across. The vinyl is equally nice. No obvious scratches or scuffs. Nice originally high gloss finish. Labels are bright and clean.
