It was a big deal when The Clash were invited to play at the World Music Festival in Jamaica in 1982. After all, the band had quickly moved on from their pub rock three chord formula to become a much broader sort of band, and the vibrant soundsystem and shebeen landscape of London in the late 70s was a driving force. Captured here in great fidelity and while the band were arguably at the peak of their creative power, this gig is an essential document of the band's story so soon after the release of one of their most successful albums - Combat Rock. Bristling with raw energy of a band playing it for real, and charged with the sense of occasion, every one of their classics sounds at its best on this knockout live album.
