Up for auction is a Classic Records reissue of the Verve 10 180 gm LP box set. This is the 1 S pressing which is well recognised by audiophile that they have the best sounding since they are from teh first stamper. Classic Records have issued 1s box set for the very few audiophile and the price of these OOP sets are zooming up as they are almost impossible to find. The 10 LPs include: 1) Ella Fitzgerald : Let no man write my epitaph. 2) Ella Fitzgerald : Clap Hands, here comes Charlie. 3) Billie Holiday: Songs for the distinguished lovers. 4) Duke Ellington & Johnny Hodges : Back By Back. 5) Coleman Hawkins encounters Ben Webster. 6) Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges : Side by Side.7) Sonny Stitt: Blow The Blues. 8) Johnny Hodges: Blues A Plenty. 9) Coleman Hawkins : Alive At the Village Gate. 10) Bill Evans At thh Montrux Jazz Festivals. Each Lp is individual numbered 312 as well as the special box that housed them,. All LP are still perforated sealed and the box that house the LPs has minor wear only and they is no split seam at all. This is a box set that is worth collecting as you might as they do not appear easily. I will send it by air and registered post for US$40 to US and Europe.
