CLASSICAL MUSIC 6 LP SET COLUMBIA BRAHMS BEETHOVEN QUARTET DEBUSSY 1947 - 1950

On auction is a  CLASSICAL MUSIC RECORD COLLECTION of 6 LP's  , all ORIGINAL PRESSED releases on the COLUMBIA RECORDS label pressed between 1947 and early 1950's.  All records have been cleaned on a record cleaning machine called the Nitty Gritty and have been play tested for quality assurance.  Below lists each title and its condition.
1.  BRAHMS / QUARTET IN B-FLAT MAJOR, Op. 67 / BUSCH QUARTET   / COLUMBIA RECORDS ML- 4330 and pressed in 1950.  Brahms only wrote three quartets for strings, of which the Quartet in B-flat Major is the third.  This has been dubbed the "pastoral" Quartet because of its idyllic nature.
CONDITION:
COVER = VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) with no major seam splits (there looks like a small beginning one starting on top and bottom opening, but very small), light ring wear, light edge wear and corner wear, spine is solid with one lower center ding that hasn't fully developed into a split, no writing, no promo cuts or holes, back and front slicks show age tanning and frosting that is mild and not too bad.
VINYL = EXCELLENT (EX) with almost no signs of paper scuff marks or hairlines, no scratches, all gloss and shine visible.  Labels are free of writing and spindle marks.
PLAY GRADE = EXCELLENT (EX) with low background, no skips or jumps...clean and clear play.
TRACKS: SIDE ONE = First Movement : Vivace , Second Movement: Andante SIDE TWO = Third Movement : Agitalo , Fourth Movement: Poco Allegretto
2.  BEETHOVEN / QUARTET No. 7 IN F MAJOR Op. 59 No. 1 "RASOUMOVSKY No. 1" / THE BUSCH QUARTET    / COLUMBIA RECORDS LABEL ML - 4155 and pressed in 1949.  
CONDITION:
COVER = EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) with no seam splits, light ring wear, light edge wear and light corner wear, no creases, spine is intact with only a spec paper lift at lower section, writing on back upper slick and very minimal, no promo cuts or holes, no major creases, clean back slick with plenty of white and very light tanning from age.
VINYL = EXCELLENT (EX) with almost no signs of paper scuff marks, no major scratches, plenty of gloss and shine.  Labels are free of writing and spindle marks.
PLAY GRADE = EXCELLENT (EX) with almost no background, no skips or jumps...clean solid play.
TRACKS: SIDE ONE = First Movement: Allegro, Second Movement: Allegretto vivace e sempre scherzondo SIDE TWO = Third Movement: Adagio motlo e mesto, Fourth Movement: Theme Russe
3.  BEETHOVEN /QUARTET No. 15 IN A MINOR Op. 132 / BUDAPEST STRING QUARTET     / COLUMBIA RECORD LABEL ML - 4006.  This is an Original 1949 release.
CONDITION:
COVER =  EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-)  with no seam splits, very light edge wear and very light corner wear, very little circles in pen... one on front slick next to record number and two again on back,  no promo cuts or holes, no creases, slight tanning in white areas along edges of back slick.
VINYL = EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) with light sign of play or paper scuff marks, plenty of gloss and shine, clean labels with very minimal signs of spindle marks.
PLAY GRADE = EXCELLENT (EX) with very light sounds of background during play, mostly audible in-between tracks.

4. BEETHOVEN: QUARTET No. 6 IN B-FLAT MAJOR Op. 18 No. 6 & QUARTET No. 11 IN F MINOR Op. 95 "SERIOUS" / BUDAPEST STRING QUARTET   / COLUMBIA RECORDS LABEL ML - 4073.  This is a 1949 pressing.
CONDITION:
 COVER = VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) with upper and lower opening seam splits about an inch or so long, light ring wear, light edge and corner wear, spine is intact and solid, only writing are three numbers written in ink on back slick and a small pen circle next to record number on front slick, no promo cuts or holes, front and back slicks are in VERY GOOD condition with the usual tanning in white areas on back slick.
VINYL = EXCELLENT (EX) with light signs of paper scuff marks or hairlines, no scratches, plenty of gloss and shine.  Labels are free of writing and have light spindle wear.
PLAY GRADE = EXCELLENT (EX) with light background, no skips or jumps...clear play through.

5.  DEBUSSY: LA DAMOISELLE ÉLUE (BIDÚ SAYÃO, soprano & ROSALIND NADELL, contralto) / RAVEL: PIANO CONCERTO FOR THE LEFT HAND (ROBERT CASADESUS, piano)    / COLUMBIA  RECORD label ML - 4075.  An original 1947 pressing. Performed by THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA and conducted by EUGENE ORMANDY.
COVER = VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) with one bottom seam split about two inches long at center, light ring wear and ring impression in paper thin style cover, light edge wear or corner wear, fold over left and right spine is intact but text is visible, top opening has light handling wear but not too bad for this style cover, only writing are two pen marks on back slick...another circle next to record number and a red pen mark "47" indicating year pressed, no promo cuts or holes, light creases, clean front and back slicks overall and a tape mark that once held bottom seam split.
VINYL = VERY GOOD (VG) with noticeable signs of paper scuff marks and hairlines, no scratches that effect play through, still has gloss and shine.  Labels are free of writing and  have light spindle wear.
PLAY GRADE = VERY GOOD (VG) with light background...does not over come sounds but is there...mostly noticeable in-between tracks... clean and clear play.

6. BARTÓK: CONCERTO No. 3 FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA & MIASKOVSKY: SYMPHONY No. 21 IN F-SHARP MINOR Op. 51 / GYORGY SANDOR piano with THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA and conducted by EUGENE ORMANDY     / COLUMBIA RECORDS LABEL ML - 4239.  This is an Original 1949.
CONDITION:
COVER = VERY GOOD (VG) with bottom seam split at opening about half inch long - top center split about a half inch, very light ring wear, light edge and corner wear, spine is intact yet has three paper lifts that hasn't split through, only writing is two pen marks on back- on circle and one red number, no promo cuts or holes, no major creases, bright colors to front slick and slight tanning to white areas on back. 
VINYL = VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) with very light signs of paper scuff marks and hairlines, no major scratches, all gloss and shine.  Labels are free of writing and spindle marks.
PLAY GRADE = VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) with very low background, no skips or jumps...almost un-played.
TRACKS: SIDE ONE = BARTOK: Concerto No. 3 For Piano And Orchestra SIDE TWO = MIASKOVSKY: Symphony No. 21 In F-Sharp Minor Op. 51
