WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Philips Records second Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1971 by Discos Philips (Philips Records), licensed from Philips Records, France, catalog number 6009 154, with hand etched matrix numbers 6009-154-A- EB-C in Side A and 6009-154-B EB-C in Side B, with traditional blue/silver Philips Records labels and SOLID CENTER. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“C'Est De L'Eau, C'Est Du Vent” and “C'est Un Départ” are songs by Claude François originally released in singles in 1970 in France (Philips 6061 150 and 6061 151) and as usual for French and Italian singers of the period, they also recorded some songs in Spanish, so in 1971 we got these songs included in the same single and sung in Spanish. So far I know, this single with these songs sung in Spanish was released only in Argentina and Chile and Chilean issue is considered one of the rarest records by Claude François worldwide. Song titles are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and production, with additional information of licenses and play time of each song. It’s interesting to notice that in both labes it’s informed “Production Disques FLECHES”, but the correct name of the company is “Disques FLECHE”. And it’s alaso interesting to notice the play time of “C'Est De L'Eau, C'Est Du Vent”, almost 1 minute longer than original French version. But the most important fact to consider in this copy is that it’s the second press, which’s much rarer than original first press with push-out center. If you know this single you could have already noticed that all copies offered here in eBay have had push-out center, this is the first copy with solid center here in eBay!!! So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS of this rare single by Claude François, with both songs sung in Spanish, with Spanish-written song titles, UNIQUE ERROR and UNIQUE BLUE PHILIPS SOLID CENTER, the MEGARARE CHILEAN SECOND PRESS, a record almost never seen and now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time and complete with the original generic plastic cover. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all lovers, fans and collectors of Claude François and French pop/Chanson of early ‘70’s!!!

The cover is the original generic plastic cover used by Philips Records and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition, clear and clean and without marks or rips, only some creases. The record is in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX+ or even NM- condition, clean and clear, with only light spindle hole wear. The sound is in great EX or even EX+ condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only some occasional soft crackles, more evident in the first and last seconds of the song, and in VG+ or EX- condition the Side B, loud. Clear and clear, with constant soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, which don’t really cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record could not to be for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure this record keeps a very nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and still a great sound quality after 46 years, which will satisfy any serious collector!!! And keep in mind now you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS of one of the rarest records by Claude François worldwide and by the very first time available in this SECOND PRESS never seen before and now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
