We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ORIGINAL 1969 first pressing in thick gatefold cover, one of CANNED HEATS' best Lp's!

A track called "Canned Heat" fulfills all the expectations we bluesfreaks ever had about this band. Wilson holds forth on one speaker, hammering out peerless Delta rhythm guitar, while Vestine flies freely from the other guitar. The Bear sings most impressively, turning the old lyrics around a bit to make them express, touchingly, what Canned Heat has done for his life. Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson, whose arrangements have a way of drawing on all the musics of the world (he worked up "On The Road Again") while still coming out blues. contributes four tracks. The best is "Change My Ways," which combines a delicate, almost exquisite vocal line with a hard-blues feel, and makes it work. We quickly forget the cliches hammered out by all the Led Zeppelins of the world, and get into a whole new, uncharted area of rock music. Yet it's still a blues. Things like that make Canned Heat easily the most original of all our blues bands.
Then there's the piece de resistance, "Sic 'Em Pigs." Like Booker White's original, "Sic 'Em Dogs On You." this is about police harassment. The Heat strike back at the heat with deliciously sarcastic lyrics and marvelous sound effects. It's a classic Canned Heat sizzler if there ever was! Then comes,"I'm Her Man" and is quite the equal of the above three. "Get Off My Back" is exciting as we go from a wonderfully ominous vocal to a rave FUZZED solo by Vestine that hums beautifully and cooks though a variety of tempo changes. The group's attempt to play an old jazz waltz, "Huautla," is charming even when a bit clumsy. "Down in the Gutter but Free" is a wicked jam session on which Sunflower Vestine and The Mole Taylor battle the fuzzed bass & fuzzed guitar! "Same All Over" and "Big Fat" are, as well, played with compelling precision. What a great old HEAT classic!

CONDITION: The cover: The THICK gatefold cover IS hard to find clean as most surviving copies have shelf wear : this survivor is VG++ CLEAN just a touch of wear starting - still looks like a collection item with no need to upgrade... all solid seams, no delete marks, no bends, no delete marks ...

The vinyl: the grooves are all glossy on both sides, "M-" clean, plays perfect ...clean Liberty labels too...
