We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

What makes every Pearls Before Swine Album so good is the diversity of sameness. You always know you are going to an album loaded with different instruments and effects. City of Gold is no exception. Their reading of Jacques Brel's "Season in the Sun" was as brilliant as Terry Jack's cover four years later was putrid. Unfortunately the Terry Jack's cover was the one that has tortured us on top 40 radio.
Other reads of "My Father" and "Nancy" are no less stunning.
But, give me the Tom Rapp penned songs anytime, because they are surely the superior ones here. Charley McCoy's harmonica gives "Once Upon a Time" a Nashville feel, but is offset by a French horn that also battles a steel guitar and they continue to weave in and out to produce just another Tom Rapp tapestry. "Raindrops" and the absolutely splendid "Casablanca" (vaguely "eastern" or "mystical" sounding) are two more essential highlights.
Play this a few times and listen with an open mind and you might discover something you have been missing musically.

CONDITION: The cover: stiff and solid, a 'touch' of shelf wear here or there is minor, VG++ with no split seams, no bends, no writing...the back group photo cover is M- clean
The vinyl: all glossy clean "EX" (excellent) to M- looks smooth and shiny and you can expect the whole Lp to play minty clean
