PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. VERY RARE in ANY condition... this is the HIGHLY collectible 1965 Capitol 6000 series FIRST PRINTING of the fifth Dave Clark 5 album, released on April 12, 1965 with a completely different custom cover and title to the USA issue, great superior cover art you get nowhere else! The rainbow Capitol 6000 series Lp's are sought by serious collectors... As noted, the LP was released on Epic Records in America under a different title!

1965 MONO first pressing vinyl... the third album by the mighty DC5, one that thrust them next to the Beatles for the royal British crown of rock & roll ...
ENCORES was another successful LP for the Dave Clark Five. The slow, bass-driven "Come Home" was the album's hit, just reaching the Top 15 in America. The crunchy "I'm Thinking" was recycled as the flip side of "Reelin' and Rockin'" a year later and "bubbled under" Billboard's Top 100. The album is a mixed bag of originals and rocker hits like "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Little Bitty Pretty One," following the de facto formula for British Invasion records. The band's own songs vacillate between the pretty Beatlesque pop of "Your Turn to Cry" and moody rockers similar to early Zombies. The Dave Clark Five were putting out about three albums a year and hitting high points. Overeall a solid album recommended for any fans of Merseybeat... OK, the DC5 weren't from Liverpool, but they were definitely modeling their sound after that of the early Beatles, and did a better job of it than most. These tunes were certainly not cutting edge in 1965, but that's academic at this point. The album features four stand-out cuts -- "Come Home", "Hurting Inside", "I'll Never Know", and "Your Turn to Cry" -- all closer to the soulful ballad style of "Because" than the raucous big-beat sound of "Glad All Over". "I'll Never Know" almost sounds like a Zombies tune. The rest of the songs don't rise to this level, but are good overall. "Till the Right One Comes Along" is DC5 unplugged, featuring only vocals, an acoustic guitar, and a touch of keys in a charming way. The covers of "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Little Bitty Pretty One" are tight and energetic, but pretty closely to the originals. "Remember, It's Me" is, for the DC5, a bit on the experimental side... not a big focus for them, and this track perhaps shows why... it doesn't quite work. Still, kind of interesting to hear them trying different styles.
"Hurting Inside" was a single B side and is a nice mid-tempo tune with some good harmonies
