CLIFFORD BROWN QUARTET “Jazztime Paris” P, DG, Blue Note Frame Cover, 10” Vinyl EXCELLENT
This is the 10-inch, 1954, first edition, Deep Groove, Frame Cover, “P”-pressing of CLIFFORD BROWN QUARTET's “Jazztime Paris” on the "767 Lexington Ave“ labels of Blue Note BLP 5047. Musicians include Brown, Henri Renaud, Pierre Michelot, Benny Bennet.
VINYL plays with consistent low level surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with infrequent occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong with clean transients, powerful extension and full tone. No distortion. No skips. This 63-year-old 10” record plays beautifully with minor surface or background noise. Good gloss. A few hairline marks. None feelable. The “767 Lexington Ave” labels are clean with a couple stains and minimal spindle wear. See photos.
FRAME COVER with Gil Melle artwork is in excellent condition, corners worn. Seams and Spine nearly perfect, some cracking. Two small 1” splits on bottom seam at ends. Small pin-hole thru jacket, top right. Back jacket shows minor fading, aging. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Kuzma turntable, Shindo amplification, DeVore Fidelity loudspeakers. RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5 CLEANER.
