Original pressing from Clifford Brown! Blue and white label with cursive Microgroove around outer label. “Blue Note Records 161 Lexington Ave NYC” is written in cursive around the center of label. RVG and “ear” are both etched in run-out. Record has a flat lip! Personnel includes: Tracks A1-A5 Clifford Brown, trumpet; Gigi Gryce, alto saxophone & flute; Charlie Rouse, tenor saxophone; John Lewis, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums. Recorded August 28, 1953. Tracks B1-B5: Clifford Brown, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, alto saxophone; Elmo Hope, piano; Percy Heath, bass; “Philly” Joe Jones, drums. Recorded June 9, 1953.
