Record has a rather wide (gaping) crack 1 1/2 inches long from the outside edge. This crack has been filled with some waxy material. The "A" side plays with a thump for the first minute, while the "B" side thumps and skips a groove about 3 times in the first minute. No stuck grooves. There is some background noise. First half of the record has sound to noise at about 60 / 40. The last half improves to 70 / 30 or better. Labels have some wear and scratches ( see scans). Playable copy which is still enjoyable.
I use standard VJM 78 RPM grading ( detailed descriptions of this grading can be found on the internet) using grades of:E+, E, E-, V+, V, V-, G+, G, G-, and P in descending order. I do not list 78's as New, or Mint, as I play my records and once played, the best grade a record can receive from me is E+. Records at V or above are better than average and quite listenable. I tend to overstate imperfections. Light scuffs and scratches are inaudible, but mentioned so the buyer will not be surprised upon receipt of records. I have never listed a P ( wall hanger) and records graded G+ or less are usually listed because of rarity.
