Rare 1959 U.S. CLOVERS LP:
"THE CLOVERS IN CLOVER"
MONO PRESSING- UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS # UAL-3033
Very rare LP from one of the best R&B/DooWop bands ever. The cover has a beautiful glossy laminate which still retains very much of its original luster. The front cover has vivid, crisp color and details with hardly any surface wear. The back cover has some soiling and the initials “BC” written in small letters in a corner. The top and bottom seams have a 5” tape repair, which was done neatly and is hard to notice unless you look closely. There is a remaining 5” top seam split and 6” spine split, and the cover is a bit warped (but the record is very flat). The vinyl has a great gloss and is on very thick wax. It is a United Artists first pressing with Deep Groove Labels on the red Microgroove label. The labels are clean and sharp. Among the beauty of this record, there is some wear and some visible scratches, 3 of which I could feel. I listened to this record at a high volume, and it plays through amazingly well. Some of these scratches caused a very light ticking, especially between songs and in the quieter parts, but the music is clear, loud, and fun. I thought it was very enjoyable to listen to, even as I was trying to hear ticking! A nice thick, high-quality vinyl pressing to begin with.
