to me, some of the soul and psych numbers sound like alternative takes (and / or mixes)
quite different to versions found on the various original 45s, LPs and other island samplers
~ ~ ~ ~
record EXCELLENT
plays real loud and strong
just a few insignificant surface scuffs and hairlines which do not affect play - brilliant mono presence and ‘fat’ tones with nice clarity and sharpness in the top end and mid-range - the disc still displays high gloss - sounds fantastic throughout!
original poly-lined paper inner sleeve has a few creases

top examples
even the former owner's name stamp does little to detract - primitive textured 1st variation pink originals with rich colour - not faded at all - all logos / details sharp and clear - tasty! - both are super clean with no faults, defects or blemishes except for the stamp already mentioned

cover VERY GOOD
still very nice
laminated (front) cover has a few minor faults (see photos) including that former owner's name stamp (top left and lower right rear corners), minor spine edge creases, a small ½" (half inch) tear at the front centre opening edge and some minimal marking to the mostly white rear sleeve - seams are great with no wear - corners and spine are fine, with all lettering legible - no splits, writing or stickers
