Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Here is one of those super rare and highly collectible LP`s by one of the '60's greatest R&B singers/groups - Clyde McPhatter with Billy Ward and His Dominoes on the original turquoise/green colored, Federal label, from 1958. It is yet another album which is in very good overall condition - both the vinyl and jacket - and one I never thought I'd ever part with, but here it is, so have at it... The album is self-entitled "Clyde McPhatter with Billy Ward and His Dominoes", but seems to me to have one strange little quirk to it, that I need to mention here. The vinyl has 16 songs listed, eight on each side. However, the jacket only lists 12 songs - six per side - and the remaining four have been hand written onto the jacket's backside by a previous owner - two on each side and pictured above. I've even tried my best to show the 8 songs on the record's label in the pics above, but they are printed onto the label quite lightly and that makes them a little more difficult to see - but please check it out anyway. All songs are in MONO and all in very nice overall condition - please read on for more exact details. I have listed - and will continue to list - many other LP's, EP's and 45's in the weeks and months ahead, so please bookmark my site and check everything out from time to time. Thank you in advance! LABEL INFO: This original, turquoise/green colored, Federal Label (559) is extremely nice with no serious issues, although there are several light spindle lines on either side, indicating the LP has had some active play time. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is primarily shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing too much in need of any mention. However, there are a few light surface and/or paper lines on both sides, but nothing too serious and they have no effect on the album's play. Other than this, the vinyl looks perfectly very clean and nice. JACKET INFO: Finally, the pink colored jacket - which may, or may not, be the original copy - is primarily clean, although not perfect either. There are some small and light "dirt-like" marks in some of the jacket's areas, some super light early signs of ring wear on the front side, and a few small scuff marks along the seam and corner areas - but again, in my opinion, nothing is all that serious, especially when you consider how super rare and collectible this piece is to collectors. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, overall this ultra rare LP is in very nice condition, and it's so very hard to find. I honestly must say that I don't know if this is an actual, completely perfect 1st pressing of this jacket and record, but hopefully, you bidders out there will enlighten me - thank you in advance. Please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 1000's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
