Big Money Records, U.S. ( TX) circa 1981, unplayed original 10" seven song mini-lp, housed in rare unique uncirculated uncut 12" proof edition of the cover ( which is a rare pre-release out-take version - features back cover art on front and vice-versa). Never-sold copy that came from a band representative back in the day.
M- / M- /new, very minor surface bend to cover. Tiny factory hairlines not affecting play.
Super rare original hard-hammering, hard driving, on fire Texas r&b/ jam band rock 'n' roll record by a band which once boasted a young Stevie Ray Vaughan in its ranks. While this set of songs dated from the period just after Stevie Ray's departure and subsequent ascent to mega-stardom, the fiery guitar work of Denny Freeman and the burning, blueswailing twin saxes of Smokin' Joe Sublett and Luke Mcnamee, tenor and baritone, and a cranking rhythm section deliver tremendous versions of "Tomcat," "First To Let You Know," "I'll Go Crazy," "Groovin' Time,"standards "Checkin' On My Baby" and "That's How Strong My Love Is," plus what I consider the definitive cover of "Harlem Shuffle," which far surpasses the Rolling Stones' hit version of a few years later. A real, authentic, underground Austin, Texas r & b indie rock barn-burner.
A scuffed and creased "VG+" copy of this record sold on Ebay in 2011 for $110.
This offer is for an unplayed copy in a rare unique version of the cover, of which I seem to have a unique corner on the market, being offered for only half the price of the above mentioned copy.
