This is a really great FIRST release on Coil's Eskaton record label and THE ONLY release ever to be credited to Coil Vs. The Eskaton (the Eskaton, however, is Coil, so the release is basically just by Coil...).
Dead trippy, with tinkling ambient sounds, a bit of dark noise and some dancey passages, it's one of Coil's very best releases and is very rare indeed.
The vinyl is etched as follows: Side A: THE RESPONSIBLE ABUSE OF PLEASURE. Side B: HIDE AMONGST YOURSELVES.
"For unfamiliar rhythms, my fave example is "Nasa Arab" -- just listen attentively to those rhythmic patterns; they're layered with an amazingly _alien_ sort of odd syncopation. Extra brain-pain points if you try and contrain it within some kind of time signature. A heavy 4/4ish drum beat does come in mid-song, but it is amidst other rhythim patterns all speaking thier own languages. Balkanized beats, if you will.
