Originally released in 2008, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends is the fourth full-length from Coldplay. Featuring an enriching production from a well chosen Brian Eno, Viva La Vida was both a critical and commercial success, as not only was it the biggest selling album of 2008, it won a 2009 Grammy for Best Rock Album and was nominated for Album of the Year.
Half of the album's 10-tracks found success as singles including "Violet Hill," "Viva la Vida," "Lovers in Japan," "Lost!" and "Strawberry Swing." Viva La Vida takes its name from a painting by Frida Kahlo, the acclaimed 20th century Mexican artist while the album's artwork features the classic painting Liberty Leading the People by French painter Eugène Delacroix. 2009 Grammy Award Winner for: 'Song of the Year' (Viva La Vida), 'Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals' (Viva La Vida) and 'Best Rock Album.'
MYLO XYLOTO
Mylo Xyloto (pronounced my-lo zy-letoe) is the fifth full length studio release from Britpop giants, Coldplay. Produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson, with enoxification and additional composition by Brian Eno, Mylo Xyloto follows-up 2008’s Viva La Vida, which charted at #1 in 36 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Features the singles "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" and "Paradise." This 180-gram vinyl edition features a special gatefold die-cut jacket and also includes a 12” x 36” poster.
GHOST STORIES
Ghost Stories is the sixth studio album from English quartet Coldplay and follow-up to their Grammy nominated 2011 effort Mylo Xyloto. The 9-song set features the airy and romantic lead single "Magic" and its Jon Hopkins-produced counterpart "Midnight" which strays from Coldplay's signature sound with a moody slow burning electronic backdrop and evocative effected vocals. Featuring production assistance from former collaborators Jon Hopkins, Rik Simpson and Dan Green, the album also finds the band working with Paul Epworth (Adele, Paul McCartney, Florence + The Machine) for the first time.
A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS
A Head Full Of Dreams is the seventh studio effort from global superstars Coldplay. The album, recorded in Malibu, LA and London, was produced by Norwegian duo Stargate together with the band's long-time collaborator Rik Simpson. It features more guests than any previous Coldplay record, with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton among those appearing across its 11 tracks (12 if you count the buried treasure of the hidden track "X Marks The Spot").   A Head Full Of Dreams is the widescreen follow-up to 2014's fragile and lovelorn Ghost Stories, Coldplay's sixth consecutive worldwide chart topper, award winner and multi-million seller. The band chose not to tour Ghost Stories and headed straight back into the studio to record A Head Full Of Dreams. Revitalized, they've made an album that's bursting with energy, color and big, life-affirming moments such as the ebullient first single "Adventure Of A Lifetime" and the rocket-powered "Hymn For The Weekend."
