This 78 has been cleaned on our Pro-Ject VC-S cleaning machine and played through once on each side on a record player with a sapphire tip stylus
Original UK 10" Shellac 78rpm single. Company sleeve. Cat number HMV B8754
The Cat no suggests a release date of around 1946, and the ST tax code embossed on the B-side label confirms that the record dates from between 10th April 1946 and 12th November 1947. The DT tax stamp, stuck on the A-side label, suggests that the record was probably not sold until some time between 9th April 1948 and 29th December 1950.
A nice clean shiny example, with a few very light needle marks on both playing surfaces. It plays extremely well with some light background crackle and normal shellac surface noise
The record does have a slight warp, which does not affect playback (see pictures)
