Description
COLIN HICKS and the (Rikki Gianco) Ribelli - Rebels
Is best known as brother of Tommy Steele.
He made some records with The Cabin Boys for UK Pye/Nixa in the late 50's, but found better luck in Italy with Italdisc.
They released a few (now very hard to find) recordings on their Broadway imprint of which this is an even rarer juke box copy!
Italdisc/Broadway was founded in Milan by Davide Matalon in 1956. He went 'solo' after being in management at CGD (Compagnia Generale Disco). Broadway was established mainly for non-Italian artists. Italdisc's greatest 'find' was Mina.
Side one features the UK hit for Frankie Vaughan, itself a cover of the US hit by Joe Valino.
It's a strikingly different and more atmospheric version altogether.

Uncredited orchestra, probably Tony De Vita with i Ribelli.
