Description
Rare Columbia EMI UK stereo LP, SAX 2468, 2/4 matrix suffixes, turquoise/blue and silver labels, Mozart Symphonies 38 and 39, Otto Klemperer conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.?
Front-laminated, flipback sleeve has a little corner loss top right, along with a small opening edge split, a few light edge creases, light ringwear and rubbing, corner bumps and light age browning spots. Structurally excellent and with very nice colour, the sleeve overall easily grades VG plus to EX minus.
Vinyl has minor dishing into side 1, causing a little edge warp when playing this side, but this seems not to affect audio, and there are light cleaning swirls on both sides appearing again not to adversely affect audio, with a little light background crackle at the start of each side soon dissipating. On side 2, across bands 2 and 3, and into band 4, there are two obvious scuff lines which do produce regular, if light, clicks and pops, but mainly during band 3. Truthfully, these marks do not sound as bad as they appear visually. Overall, this is a super playing copy that grades VG visually and EX for audio.
