COLUMBIA PHONOGRAPH CO. NUMBER 1886 THE RUNWAY MOTOR CAR SUNG BY BILLY MURRAY WITH ORCHESTRA , RECORDED JAN,1904 . up for bid is a comic descriptive song about a ride in a runaway automobile at a time when they still looked like horseless carriages, sung by THE DENVER NIGHTINGALE himself , billy murray. recorded in January of 1904 ,this is very early for billy murray ( he started making discs in 1903 ) and in E condition with an extra loud volume clean sound and a low surface noise ( good for 1904 ) the label is clean ( but off center ) though the spindle hole is a little snug ( i think this record has only been played a couple of times ) it fits and plays beautifully, there are a lot of billy murray collectors out there but ill bet they don't have this one and if they do im sure its not in this condition. this is a rare murray, good luck..
