The record has been graded by eye under strong sunlight and a bright light. Serious potential bidders are welcome to inspect the record prior to bidding if you so desire, it is located in Penge SE London.
I am not an expert at record grading but I have done extensive research on such matters. I have read various record grading websites and I understand that there are obviously lots of different ways of grading records and that this is a very subjective process.
Using the Record Collector guide to grading Mint being the highest and Excellent second I would describe this record as Excellent (I have taken on board the widespread advice of not to use plus signs). The surface is glossy and although there are a few very light surface marks there is certainly nothing that can be felt with a fingertip. It is a lovely example. I believe using other grading advice some would describe the record as NM but I will stick to excellent as above as I would prefer to exceed expectations rather than disappoint.
Jacket in very good condition (although it has a number written in bottom corner) small knocks to corners the most significant being the bottom right (photographed). Slight lift to the flip back on the top right (also photographed). The dust jacket is excellent with just the usual creasing. Labels look great too nothing bad to report.
I have tried to describe this record to the best of my ability and have 100% feedback (including on a couple of rare records already sold).
