This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an imapact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

Vinyl: NEAR MINT...Not a mark on it! Lovely shine and as flat as the day it was bought.
Text: Outer rim "The Gramaphone CO.LTD..." "Sold in the UK" central statement.
Inner Sleeve: The original, first press sleeve with the psychedelic design. There is a split of around 17.5cm at the bottom. There's also some feathering to the opening and rather a few creases as you can see in the picture.
Cut-Outs: NEAR MINT condition here!! Also printed with the DARK GREEN backing, as opposed to the later lighter green.
Cover: SUPERB! Strong spine. NO SPLITS, WRITING etc!! Still very bright as if just out the shop last week. There is a very small amount of lifting to the laminate on the spine. Hardly any feathering to the openings. Only very few tiny spidering to the laminated Garrod and Lofthouse cover! Gorgeous inner cover picture, the inner spine is stong and crackles when opening (I think this is due to the lifting of the laminate to the inner spine. Slight bit of scuffing to the back cover, seen only if angled to the light. Great example of a usually abused stereo cover...Real collectors piece!
Labels: EX++ They really are fantastic! Lovely and clear with hardly any spindle marks...Just a handful, maybe 3-4!!! No writing, scratching...just pure BEATLES ORIGINAL !
Unusual "KJT" tax code
Slight differences on the Mono/Stereo versions of Sgt. Pepper:
"She's Leaving Home" Stereo version slower than Mono.
"(Reprise)" Mono drum intro is 4 beats longer some words by John and audience laughter..All of which are not on the Stereo version.
Simply fantastic piece of Beatles history!
I GRADE THE RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RARE RECORD COLLECTORS GUIDE. 'Mint' means I have just stepped out of the record shop in the 60's, never opened the record and kept it in fantastic dry and warm condtitons...unlikely isn't it!!
Add this superb condition rare early record to your Beatles collection, you won't find much better condition anywhere else!
