Description

Offered up for auction is this rare and incredible slice of Quebec bossa jazz funk recorded in Ste-Foy (Quebec City now) in the mid 70's. It is an excellent, one-time collaboration between two of Quebec's well-known jazz artists, Vic Angelillo and Henri Hamel. Includes Yolanda Lisi vocal funk cut "Je Veux Te Dire Une Chanson" (compiled on Dusty Fingers) and four top-notch instrumentals like the great "Cephalée", a sweet bossa monster dripping with Rhodes!

With Vic Angelillo (electric & stand-up bass), Henri Hamel (piano), Gérard Hébert (piano, electric piano),  Phil Gagnon (drums, percussion),  Richard Ring (acoustic guitars, zither), additional sax, flute, trumpet and strings, as well as gorgeous vocal jazz interpretations by Ranee Lee, Claude Léveillée, Leo Monast and Jacques Yvart.

Label: Barclay 80180, Canada, 1974
