Description
A high quality 2000 reissue of this classic 1977 reggae album by Congos. It is by simply Vinyl, issued on 180g virgin vinyl, and in a gatefold double vinyl presentation inside a plastic sleeve with flip top. Still has the shiny metallic stickers front and rear. 17 tracks.
In near mint condition, but there is a small dent to the top left corner.

"Heart of the Congos" is a roots reggae album by The Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry at his Black Ark studio with a studio band including Boris Gardiner on bass and Ernest Ranglin on guitar. The album was released in 1977. It is noted as being one of Perry's masterpiece productions of the Black Ark era."

Notes Limited release on 180G vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Originally released in 1977 on Black Ark recordings on a single disc. This re-issue originally released on Blood & Fire in 1996. This re-issue includes the bonus tracks from the CD. This album has been remastered using the original Black Ark quarter inch master tapes with the exception of 'At The Feast' which was transferred from vinyl and processed using Cedar™ hardware and software to remove any unwanted crackle and clicks.
