This album is the original collection of Hawaiian songs recorded by Connie Francis, which had only been officially released in Great Britain and Japan. It features the original, more Hawaiian-sound backings, whereas the Hawaii Connie album released in the US in 1968 had a more “Pop” sound achieved through multiple overdubbing and remixing. This release has a few other differences including the introduction to “I'll Remember You” and the length of “Happy Hours”.

The cover of this LP is also different from the US release. Pink and white flowers floating on blue water replaces the lovely John Engstead photo of Connie looking very Hawaiian.
