BEATLES. Mexico. 1964. First album, consistent with USA Meet the Beatles. Same Cover back and front but Spanish titles and notes. Musart logo and label trim. Similar to Capitol but 18 months before Capitol took over and Musart disappeared forever! 12 songs with some unique ones. One of the few albums worldwide to present FROM ME TO YOU on an album. Not UK till 1966, only in USA on VJ Jolly What! LP. In Canada on 1964 Twist and Shout LP. 12 songs from January 1964 unique worldwide, only Mexico. Amazingly all 12 written by the Beatles. One Harrison written song on this LP and eleven Lennon-McCartney originals, including 3 Number Ones from England. This Number one of Mexico’s 5 volumes of Beatles Albums issued originally on Musart in the Mexican series of Beatles albums. This record vinyl grades as Goldmine EX, my highest grade. Very nice and shiny. Proud to own it, considering the source country and uniqueness. MONO of course, not sure Musart ever issued in Stereo! Anyone?? See photos. This is pressed on thicker vinyl than USA, more durable. Originally this album was on Musart label in 1964, then Capitol Black Rainbow labels by 1966, then Green Capitol Target labels in 70s, and then EMI Tan labels in early 80s, EMI logo on top of label and later EMI labels with thinner vinyl in late 80s. So sorry the original owner marked and taped the cover so much. Perhaps a better cover can be found, but the vinyl is excellent for 1964 Beatlemania era! The labels show wear but no writing! Song titles in Spanish and English on labels. Also, original Musart inner sleeve is included, EX I think, 56 years old. Welcome to a piece of history! See images, actual sale item.
