OK - BACK TO SOME GOOD COLLECTABLE 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1971 U.S. QUADRAN RECORDS DJ PROMO 45 RPM RECORD containing the songs titled 'You Gonna Pay'/'Why Little Girl (Can't You Love Me)' from soulsters The Contacts. It is Quadran Records catalog number QP-40002 and is a GUARANTEED 1971 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! This is a promo copy with a 'D.J. Plug' rubber stamp on the B-side label. 'You Gonna Pay' is a classic uptempo 'Northern' dancer; 'Why Little Girl' is a sweet soul ballad. Condition of record is a low VG+ with a grade that low due only to one small surface scratch near the outer edge which can barely be felt, and which causes some non-distracting ticks in the first few revolutions. Record otherwise has a few other small and light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Labels have no real problems. This rare promo 45 would make a choice addition to any 'Northern Soul' 45 record collection!
