"Once speed metallers Seven Death's Sins discovered death metal in '90 they changed their name to Convulse. They are considered to be the godfathers of the Nokia death metal scene (see Purtenance and Lubricant). Rami Jämsä (vocals/guitar) had made it on record already a couple of years earlier with hard rock band Havoc and he has also played in Puhelinkoppi (originally a hardcore side project of the Flounder weirdos). In '95 Jämsä submitted a very Pearl Jam/Soundgarden-ish demo to Relapse and the band got dropped. Subsequently the revamped line-up changed the name to Pornorphans and started to play metallic rock enhanced with female vocals and keyboards." Isten
