Description
Side A, THE MURDER OF THE LAWSON FAMILY. Visual E-. Playback E-.
Side B, IN A COTTAGE BY THE SEA. Visual E-. Playback E-.
Hard to find a very nice, clean copy.
I am including the original Danbury Reporter newspaper dated January 1, 1930, days after it happened. Also included is the Danbury Reporter dated May 6, 1982. The worn record pictured goes with it. This record and the two newspapers were in a Victrola that I purchased from an old house in Germanton, NC. The Ballad of Charlie Lawson, which is pictured from the 1982 newspaper is the lyrics to the Carolina Buddies song.
Record will be packaged properly to insure safe arrival.
I quote media mail rates. If you would like priority mail, please send message before checking out.
GRADING: If there are any cracks, surface lams, needle drops, digs, deep scratches, rim chips, or stripped grooves, I will mention them in the description. Otherwise, grading is as follows.
N = New, unplayed
N- = Nearly new but has been played, no visible signs of wear or damage.
E+ = Plays like new with very few signs of handling.
E = Shiny, near new looking. Few scuffs, light scratches. Very light wear under ten
percent of record surface.
E- = Still shiny but without the luster of a higher grade record. Light scuffs and
scratches. Light wear visible sporadically across record surface.
V+ = Average condition 78. Scuffs, scratches and general use have dulled the
surface somewhat. Wear is moderate and generally free from distortion.
V = Moderate, even wear throughout. Should still show bits of shine. Surface noise
and scratches definitely audible, but not overbearing.
V- = Heavy greying and distortion in loud passages. Almost no shine left.
G+ = Grey throughout, heavy scratches. Music beginning to sound muffled.
G = Seriously worn and scratched.
