Description
This is the super-rare 1976 true first pressing of the fantastic first Country Comfort LP, We are the Children, on Trim TLP-1980. Classic Hawaiian folk-rock featuring some well known names in Hawaii, namely Gaylord Holomalia of Kalapana and Billy Kaui. This is the original version that has the 1975 date on the labels. It was re-pressed a number of times, first with a 1976 date on the labels and then no date. Only the very first pressing says 1975. It was a small independent label in Hawaii and so they didn’t make many, but it became unexpectedly popular so they kept making new pressings. Anyhow this copy is not only the rarest early pressing, it is in perfect, mint condition. I know you aren’t supposed to say that about a record that has been opened, but it is mint. Still in the shrinkwrap and it looks never played. Totally mint inside and out. A top, top original, very hard to find anything matching this copy.
