Super Clean Vinyl, very close to full NM with a mere touch of faint sleeve marks, viewed under hard bright light. Labels are Pristine both sides.

Still in the clean, complete, original Shrink Wrap. Blemish-Free cover with no creases, wear, chipping, writing or soil. Sharp corners and straight edces all around. Seams and spine are completely intact with no wear or splits. original issue RED color spine titles are Sharp, Bold and 100% Legible (with NO sun fade to the color, even after 58 Years).
* The original covers on this title are notoriously very prone to wear and chipping.      ...extremely nice to find a minty, super-clean, fully intact one still protected in the shrink!

Country Joe and The Fish' first full-length debut is their most joyous and cohesive statement and one of the most important and enduring documents of the early psychedelic era, the band's swirls of distorted guitars and organ at its most inventive, vibrant and acid-drenched.

…a perfect and perfectly bold introduction to who and what they were, Electric Music For the Mind and Body delivered a fully formed, uncompromising, and utterly San Francisco/Berkeley visionary  -- in fact, often delightfully and unapologetically radical -- body of psychedelic music their first time out.

Ranging in mood from darkly swirling Psychedelia to moody, mind-voyaging introspection to downright apocalyptic, it embraced all of the facets of the band's music, which were startling in their diversity: soaring guitar and keyboard excursions ("Flying High," "Section 43," "Bass Strings," "The Masked Marauder"), their surprise FM radio hit ("Not So Sweet Martha Lorraine"), the group's folk roots ("Sad and Lonely Times"), McDonald's personal ode to Grace Slick ("Grace"), and their in-your-face counter-culturepolitics ("Superbird"). Yet the album carries a very consistent and distinctly original, cohesive feel throughout.

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for  me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
