Description
This is a fine U.S. white label promo copy of the second LP by American group Coven, released in 1971. From Indianapolis, the group are remembered today for their early embrace of occult imagery and antics (e.g., signing the contract for their first LP, 1969's Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls, in their own blood) and for their hit version of "One Tin Soldier," recorded for the 1971 film Billy Jack. Their sophomore effort is lite on the occult stuff, but does include the hit. The jacket has creasing in two corners on the front cover (it's substantial in one corner: see photo), along with slight curvature from being in storage, a small hole in the back cover punched near the edge, and light ring and corner wear (EX). There is a promo sticker on the back cover. The disc is clean with some light scuffing, and plays with light surface noise audible between some tracks (EX+). The record comes with an insert (M-).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
