Description
COVEN "Worship New Gods" vinyl LP. Extremely rare first pressing on CROM Records. Hamtramck (Detroit), MI. Released in 1987. Very rare first PRIVATE pressing of this Doom/Metal LP. In the vein of St. Vitus, Pentragram, etc. These rarely pop up for sale, and this copy is in excellent condition too!
I use the Goldmine grading system, and I grade conservatively under a 100 watt lamp.
The vinyl is VG++ (EX according to ebay). The record is super clean. There's a few extremely light paper marks on the vinyl that do not affect play. I play graded the vinyl on my Technics turntable, and it plays nice and clean!
The jacket is VG++. The seams are super tight all the way around. No splits, no bends. The jacket is tip-on, and there's no peeling of any kind. There's a bit of rub and a slight discoloration in the upper right hand corner (probably due to the original price sticker). There's no ringwear, and the spine is solid and clear.
Unfortunately this copy does not have the original lyric insert.
I've been grading, selling, and packing records for close to 25 years. Rest assured my grading is accurate, and on the conservative side. My packing is also excellent, and done properly. The LP is removed from the jacket to avoid splitting. Cardboard inserts are used inside proper record mailers for stiffens and to avoid corner dings.
I use proper record mailers with sufficient padding and packaging to insure safe arrival of your record. Open records are shipped with the record outside of the packaging to avoid damage to the jacket. New and sealed records will be left sealed for shipping. Shipping charges are for packing materials and actual shipment costs only. I do not profit from shipping charges. I track all packages and keep all documentation of everything I ship.
