Up for auction/sale is a museum-grade, original 1988 US First Pressing of Cowboy Junkies' landmark masterpiece, The Trinity Session (RCA / BMG 8568-1-R).

For audiophiles and analog purists, this record is legendary. Recorded live over the course of a single day in 1988 at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto using just a single Calrec Ambisonic microphone, this album captures breathtaking natural room acoustics, haunting spatial depth, and unforgettable performances.

• Original 1988 US First Pressing: Features standard matrix catalog prefix 8568-1-R and barcode 0 7863-58568-1 1 on the rear.

• Original Factory Hype Sticker: Complete with the original pink hype sticker on the front shrink-wrap featuring Lou Reed’s iconic endorsement: "'The best & most authentic version of Sweet Jane that I have ever heard.' - Lou Reed."

• Factory Sealed Unplayed Record: The vinyl inside remains untouched, unplayed, and preserved in its original 1988 state since leaving the pressing plant.

• Edges & Corners: Minor, gentle shelf rubbing/softening at the top corners from standard storage over the last 35+ years.

• Shrink-Wrap: Overall tight and clear across front and back. There is a small, light separation tear in the shrink wrap at the upper rear right corner, but the jacket board remains clean and protected underneath.

• Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve.

• 45s: 7" records are shipped with the same level of care in dedicated 7-inch mailers.
