Limited edition of 750. Fans of psychedelic and progressive rock and the famed Vertigo Swirl label will be familiar with the name Cressida. The band released their eponymous debut album in 1970 and followed it up in 1971 with Asylum. The first album chock full of melodic inventive songs was critically acclaimed but due to a lack of gigs the band split up around the time that Asylum was released. Despite leaving only a two album legacy the music of Cressida continues to seduce fans old and new especially as progenitors of prog rock.
This LP being released for the FIRST TIME EVER the original demo tapes which contain many of the fantastic tracks that would appear on their debut - there are stark differences however on many arrangements and three that have until now never been heard before! Overall, this is a stunning collection and a vital addition to the Cressida story.
LP commissioned a full color gatefold sleeve by one of the bands \ 'closest friends, re-mastered the music to perfection by Fluid Mastering, and pressed on 180gm dinner plate vinyl. Each comes with hand numbered and signed certificate, get it before the opportunity is gone!
