Crow formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota as South 40. They played the clubs, festivals and local venues in the general area and got some interest from Columbia records, but for some reason they turned down the offer and signed instead to an MGM subsidiary label Amaret Records. Changing their name to Crow, their song "Evil Woman" became a top 20 hit and they toured the country opening for Lee Michaels, Jefferson Airplane, Procol Harum, The Allman Brothers Band and others at various venues. Several singles and 3 LPs were released during their 3-year tenure. They broke up in 1972 but got back together and released a very limited fourth LP in 1981.
Musically, hard rock with heavy guitar play and gritty vocals. Best comparison to these ears is Black Pearl just because of the hard and gritty vocals.
This is the very rare fourth LP. Only set up for distribution in 5 states. Very limited, maybe 300 pressed.
