CRYPTADIA RARE 1974 VINYL LP ON SOUGHT AFTER PRIVATE FOLK-FAMOUS ERON LABEL CP COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL FOUR PAGE FOLD-OUT INSERT
Sleeve Condition: Sadly, the top right of the front of the sleeve (clearly visible in the photos) has large, blue ink scribble which I am pretty sure would be impossible to remove. Otherwise, and unusually as the sleeve is paper thin, it is in almost Near Mint condition, as is the insert.
Record Condition: Near Mint: clearly rarely (if ever) played. No centring marks, vinyl clean, unmarked and in spanking condition. The music plays perfectly but it should be mentioned that this is a private label and the quality of the vinyl itself is probably not up to the standard of commercial record companies. Hence, there is occasional surface whispers etc. This is not a euphemism for intrusive background noise, just a very light and very occasional light tracking whisper. There is a very slight edgewarp which in no way affects tracking.
The album commemorates a concert at Deal Castle, Kent, with Anderson Singers, Derek Hyde, Jenni Jubb, Musica Antiqua. New compositions are by Sigvard Von Brevern. The music varies from acapella singing, including one gorgeous solo by Jenni Jubb on ?Robin?, to medieval-era folk and instrumentals.
This is considered one of the rarest on this collectable label (apart from Davey Graham?s hugely rare ?All That Moody?), and is very hard to find. This copy is in Near Mint condition and is complete with the original four page foldout insert.
