Boston-based psych-space rockers Crystalized Movements were the first of many musical platforms for Wayne Rogers, a singer and guitarist whose record label Twisted Village (and the retail store he operates under that name in a basement in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts) is a nexus of the American psych-prog-noise underground. Rogers and company released five albums and a single under this name before he and Crystalized Movements guitarist Kate Biggar formed Magic Hour with the ex-Galaxie 500 rhythm section of Damon & Naomi in 1993.

Biggar joined upon Arn's departure, cementing the band's final lineup and nudging the sound ever so slightly out of its druggy torpor on This Wideness Comes. While guitar experiments like "Third Half" are still the order of the day, the more tightly arranged tracks (like the forbidding "The Second a Siren") radiate a confidence that borders on belligerence, a nice change from the insular ambience of past releases. Rogers' vocals — excavated by the use of a studio with contemporary equipment — impart a sense of anxiety that contributes plenty to the overall mood.

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
