Description
This 'Made in England' USA issue was not issued as an SXL 2000 series: it was later issued in Britain as ECS 746, itself a major rarity fetching £40 upwards on eBay.
The US made sleeve is miraculously intact, all edges are fine, no staining, no writing. It is neither flipback nor laminated. There are some tiny nicks on the front and a small patch where a label has been removed - still EX+.
The grooved label disc plays EX overall: this is better than the only ECS746 I've had. There are mild ticks in the opening grooves of side 1 and a mark on side 2 causes ticks & gentle clicks for 90 seconds at the end of the first movement. Guaranteed play grade is a little conservative to ensure satisfaction - there is no surface noise, no 'wear' nor any distortion on either side.
The runoff matrices are ZAL 3987 1K & 3988 1E.
The original 'Made in Gt. Britain' inner sleeve is crisp with no wear or damage.
Postage is uninsured but for the maximum £32 the Royal Mail pays out if loss or damage occurs in the UK - and this is getting increasingly difficult to claim! Should the final price exceed this seperate insurance is recommended - I will advise the cost when destination is known. Only the actual cost will be added (I don't charge for filling in a form) and then only with your agreement.
If you intend to purchase multiple items in order to reduce the postage per item cost, I reduce the p&p for subsequent purchased items to half the single item fee BUT you must inform me at the time of your first purchase that you intend to do this; I will invoice the first item at full cost and each subsequent purchase with the postage halved. Note that I can only mail 6 or 7 LPs together as a 'Small Packet' this depending on the age and therefore the weight of each disc. Purchasing more than this means I will have to start a new pack and again the initial purchase will be at full p&p cost.
