Description

London Records stereo CS 6419, disc has grooved red label with large FFRR logo and "Made in England..." text at the top of the label.  This is the London equivalent to the Decca SXL wideband ED2 label.  Earliest label for this recording.  Stampers are 2W 1W.  Issued by Decca as SXL 6138.

Mstislav Rostropovich plays the Benjamin Britten Symphony for Cello and Orchestra, op. 68, and the Haydn Cello Concerto in C major.  Britten conducts the English Chamber Orchestra.  See pics for program details.

A common record in later pressings, but hard to find in its earliest issue, and this copy is in beautiful shape. 

Disc NM, early jacket with textured front VG++  insert with program notes is included
