Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of a 1983 LP by British group the Cure. The record combines four early singles tracks with the lion's share of the group's 1979 debut LP, Three Imaginary Boys, and an outtake from the LP sessions. It was originally released in 1980 in the U.S. (where the debut LP hadn't been released) and a few other countries. It was released for the first time in the U.K. three years later. At this early stage, the group shows itself adept at quirky pop (the singles, "Fire in Cairo") as well as moody material that was punky ("Object," "Grinding Halt") and melancholy ("10.15 Saturday Night," "Another Day") by turns. The latter would dominate their next few releases. The jacket is close to pristine (M-). The disc is clean, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
