CURRENT 93 The Seahorse Rears To Oblivion Test Pressing. A real mind-boggling and unique C93 release, a rare test pressing featuring a slightly different cut (no changes to the tracks themselves, just sound quality differs, a little muzzier, more intimate) of 4 versions of one of David Tibet’s most powerful visions. Seahorse Rears to Oblivion was originally scheduled to appear on Current 93’s Soft Black Stars album, but was dropped at the last minute. The ‘normal’ edition of this fantastic release came in a signed and numbered run of 375 on black vinyl with lithograph and lyrics/information sheet, while there was also a limited edition in a run of 175 on purple vinyl with handblocked prints, lithograph, and lyric/information sheet, signed and hand-numbered. What you’re bidding on here, however, is a test pressing of a never issued cut of the Seahorse 12”. It was rejected by Tibet and Cashmore in favour of the sharper cut that eventually surfaced. Sounds great to me, providing another angle on this killer 12”, one of Tibet’s most gripping visionary epics, the sound is more intimate, a bit more straight-to-cassette and personal. Beautiful spectral guitar from Cashmore too, sounding like Manuel Gottsching of Ash Ra Temple at his most zoned. This test pressing comes on fantastically heavy duty purple vinyl with labels on both sides in a plain white 12” sleeve, this copy never played. A ridiculously rare collector’s item from one of the seminal groups in England’s Hidden Reverse. A beautiful release.

SHIPPING/HANDLING
We package all of our vinyl safely and securely using only new professional cardboard mailers with cardboard stiffeners. We remove vinyl from its sleeve (unless the record is sealed) and place both the vinyl and the cover in a plastic record sleeve. All books, CDs and other items are also packaged securely with brand new professional packaging. Our shipping fee includes postage and packing. Buyer pays for all postage and packing. If you want to know shipping costs, email us before you bid and we will send you a detailed list of shipping costs including rates for special delivery/insurance and 1st class.

WE RECOMMEND INSURING/REGISTERING YOUR PACKAGES
We highly recommend registering and insuring all packages. Unfortunately, we all know that post offices are notoriously careless handling packages, so we cannot guarantee loss or damage to unregistered and uninsured packages. We will ship out packages 1st class and surface if requested, but please keep in mind that they cannot be guaranteed. If you register/insure your package and there is loss or damage to the package we will file a claim with Royal Mail to get your money back. If your package is registered/insured and you are overseas please be aware that we have to mark the true value on the customs form for the item to be insured for its full amount.
