Description

Up for auction is a rare copy of the Curtis Fuller album "Curtis Fuller with Red Garland" released on New Jazz Records in 1962.  This is an original mono pressing, RVG stamped in the dead wax.  From what I understand, there are no deep groove copies of this album.  Interestingly, this copy has a partial deep groove indentation only on Side B, though it's hard to tell.  Cover is in really nice condition.  Front is bone white, as it should be, with only a slight hint of aging along a couple edges.  No ring wear, no tears.  Beautiful textured matte surface.  Back cover is bone white, no writing, no ring wear.  Common factory inspection stamps in upper right, and factory partial "star" stamp in upper left.  Lower left corner has very slight stain/discoloration.  Nonetheless, a very clean example of this album cover, which is very prone to easily wear and discolor given its paper matte finish.  Grade this cover Near Mint Minus (NM-). The vinyl disc is in beautiful shape.  Retains its original shiny luster and sheen.  No obvious scratches or scuffs. Clean labels, bright lettering.  I've play tested this record, and it sounds clean, clear, and beautiful.  If it's been played more than once or twice, I'd be surprised.  Full-bodied mono fidelity.  Grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).  This is one of the nicest copies I've seen of this record.
